Warning: cheap floral foam ruined two wedding arches for me

I bought a bulk box of floral foam off Amazon for $35 to save money. It was some off brand and not the usual green Oasis stuff I use. The foam crumbled like crazy when I tried to insert stems, and it didn't hold water well at all. I had to redo both arches the night before the wedding, costing me an extra $60 in new foam and a lot of lost sleep. Has anyone else had bad luck with knockoff floral foam brands?

Ugh, I feel your pain. That crumbly foam is the worst.

Replacing the whole cushion fixed it for me.

Yeah totally, I did the same thing. Tried just replacing the foam at first but the whole cushion swap was way easier and it’s held up great since then.
