A buyer in Austin told me I was wrong about staging a vacant house

I mean, I was showing this empty 3-bedroom in the Zilker area, and this guy Mark just flat out said 'This feels cold, you should have put some furniture in here.' I told him it lets people see the space clean, but he argued that in a hot market like Austin, buyers need to picture living there right away. Has anyone else had a client push back on the standard 'empty is better' advice?

It's funny how people can't see past empty rooms, @corap61 is right. I see it everywhere now, like a blank space just makes people's brains shut off. They need a little help to get started.

Mark's got a point, honestly.

But what if that blank space @henry150 mentioned actually helps buyers see their own stuff?
