Appreciation post: Saw a whole block of 'For Sale by Owner' signs in Tempe last week

Honestly, I was driving through a neighborhood near Arizona State and counted seven FSBO signs on one street. Tbh, it felt like a shift, like more people are trying to skip the agent fee entirely. I talked to one owner who said he saved over $15k listing it himself but was totally lost on the paperwork. Has anyone else seen this pop up in their area and how are you talking to these sellers?

Read an article last week saying FSBO listings are up nearly 10% from last year. That paperwork hassle is exactly why some folks end up calling an agent halfway through.

That "paperwork hassle" is what I'm paying myself to do. The forms are all online now and pretty straightforward if you can follow basic instructions. The real work is showing the house and negotiating anyway.

But that hassle is a one time thing, and the savings are real. You just have to decide if your time is worth more than their fee.
