How fast do you think he'd drop me? My payment history is basically a series of sad calendar reminders (I'm working on it).

Consider how many clients probably promise to pay and then ghost him. That seven day rule is his only real defense against getting stiffed for his work. He's running a business, not a charity, and late payments can wreck a small operation's cash flow. You'd probably have a couple of weeks of grace before he moved you to a "cash up front" list.

Honestly though, is a week really enough time for a normal person to sort their bills? Life happens, mail gets lost, people forget. Tbh most folks aren't trying to scam him, they're just busy or broke. It seems pretty harsh to jump straight to a cash-up-front list over one late payment. Ngl, that kind of rule would just make me call a different guy next time.
