That one weird request from a retiree in Phoenix still bugs me

Guy wanted me to find him a house with a hidden panic room, no agents listed. Met me at a diner, slid cash across the table. Has anyone else had clients ask for shady stuff like that?

OH man, my buddy once had a guy ask him to find a house with a hidden basement that wasn't on any blueprints. He noped out of that one real quick.

Is this guy trying to get on a first name basis with Geraldo Rivera or what? A hidden panic room with no agents listed sounds like the start of a bad spy movie where the retiree is actually a retired mob accountant. And sliding cash at a diner? That's straight out of a crime drama, not a real estate deal. I half expect he'd ask you to meet him in a parking garage next time with a briefcase handcuffed to your wrist. At least your story is better than my buddy who had a client ask for a house with a "sealed off" room that had a weird smell coming from behind the wall.
