The Thursday three projects paid at once and I actually cried a little
Last Thursday was just a normal day until I checked my bank account around 2pm. Three separate clients had sent payments totaling $2,850 all on the same day. One was a website build I finished two weeks ago, another was a retainer payment that usually comes late, and the third was a random invoice from a logo job I did back in December. I literally sat there staring at the screen for a full minute because I'm used to payments trickling in one at a time. That kind of timing never happens for me, usually it's the opposite where everything is late at once. Have any of you ever had multiple payments land on the same random day out of nowhere?

Three payments hitting on the same day sounds like a dream but I'm kind of skeptical. In my experience when stuff like that happens it usually means one of them is going to bounce or there's some weird error coming.

$900 total across three payments last Tuesday and sure enough the bank flagged one as a "potential duplicate" and held it for 48 hours. @the_mary you're spot on, the universe hates when things line up too perfectly. Now I just assume the banking gods are messing with me whenever I see multiple deposits on the same day.
