Talked to my neighbor about his pegboard setup and it hit me different
Last Saturday I was helping my neighbor Dave rearrange his garage. He's got this old beat up pegboard he's had for like 15 years, nothing fancy. But he showed me how he marks the shadow of each tool with a sharpie so he knows exactly where stuff goes back. I've been looking at buying those expensive foam cutouts or modular wall systems for months. Meanwhile his $5 fix works perfectly and he can change it anytime. Has anyone else tried the sharpie shadow trick or am I overthinking this?

Just saw something online about how sharpie ink can actually bleed through certain types of outdoor markers and plastic over time. Apparently the solvents in them break down a lot of materials if it's not applied right. Could be a real mess if someone's been using it on something important like trail markers or gear that needs to last. Not saying it's the end of the world but there's definitely better options for marking stuff that's gonna sit outside.
