My uncle was right about those slatwall panels after all
Tbh, I fought my uncle for like two years over slatwall. He kept saying the cheap pegboard I had up would sag after a season or two. I figured he was just being a know-it-all like always. But last winter my heavy leaf blower pulled the whole pegboard section down off the wall one night around 2am. Went to his place the next day, saw his slatwall setup with my own eyes, and yeah, it was solid. He even had a quote from the local hardware store for the panels and rails, came out to about $140 total. I put it up last month and now I can hang my shovels, rakes, and even a couple heavy tool bags without worrying. Anyone else have a relative give you garage advice you wish you'd listened to sooner?
