Finally got my freelance contract sorted after a friend's nightmare story

I was putting off updating my standard service agreement for like 8 months. Then a friend in Phoenix told me she got stuck in a 6 week dispute because her contract didn't specify a revision limit. That got me to add a cap of 3 revisions per project and a clear kill fee clause in case a client ghosts. Has anyone else had a small clause save them from a big headache?

Oh man, revision limits are a life saver. I learned that one the hard way too. Had a client who wanted me to keep changing the same logo over and over, like 14 rounds of tweaks. I finally just said no and walked away, lost a bunch of time and money. Now I put in a hard limit of 3 revisions and also include a clause that says if they want more, it costs extra per round. So far that's kept people honest. Not as bad as your friend's 6 week thing though, that sounds brutal.

14 revisions" isn't quite right since you're the one who did them, not the client.

14 revisions is insane @mason.drew, you have more patience than me.
