Just found out my state has a 3 year limit on suing for unpaid invoices

I was reading through the small business association site last night and saw that in Florida you only have 3 years to take someone to court over a written contract. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of statute of limitations issue before?

I actually see it the other way. Three years is plenty of time to know if someone isn't paying you and take action.

Three years? That's barely enough time to finish a Florida summer.

Honestly, three years sounds generous. In my state, it is two for oral contracts.
