Just got a signed NDA back from a big vendor in under 48 hours

I sent my standard NDA to a supplier I've been trying to work with for months and they signed it almost immediately. They didn't ask to change a single line, which never happens.

Fast sign is good but you're missing something obvious. They want in your system so bad they skipped the red pen game. That tells me they already know your terms are weak or they plan to steamroll you later with a different contract. Bet you a hundred bucks their next move is to dump a 50 page MSA on you with all the bite. Be ready to push back hard on that.

Haha that "steamroll you later" part hits different. Reminds me of this time my buddy signed a quick deal for his landscaping business and six months later the client hit him with a "oh by the way you agreed to maintain our entire commercial lot for free" clause buried in the fine print. Took him weeks to untangle that mess. So yeah I'd watch that 50 page MSA like a hawk, they might try to slide in some wild arbitration clause or a non compete that basically owns your whole client list. But honestly sometimes the fast sign means they're just as desperate as you are lol.

No changes at all is a huge green flag, just make sure you actually read it start to finish because sometimes they sneak in weird auto-renewal terms or crazy liability caps.
