That $300 legal template bundle I bought off a lawyer's website
I paid $300 for a set of contract templates from some lawyer who markets to freelancers. Thought it would save me from having to hire my own attorney for basic stuff. Turned out one of the clauses was completely wrong for my state's laws - I almost signed a deal that would have let the client own my IP forever. Has anyone else had a bad experience buying pre-made legal docs online?

Found a solid lawyer on LegalZoom who fixed everything for like $150.

And for $150 that's honestly a steal lol. Most lawyers charge that just to answer the phone these days.
