TIL my contract was missing a binding arbitration clause
My buddy Mike who runs a renovation crew in Cleveland told me I needed to add a binding arbitration clause to my service agreements. I thought he was being paranoid until a client tried to sue me over a $600 paint job that chipped after 3 months. Got it added last week, costs me $50 per contract review but saves me from court headaches.

My $50 arbitration clause might be the best money I ever spent, right after the $600 I learned to charge for paint jobs that chip in 3 months.
