Am I the only one who thinks taking a client to small claims court is a waste of time?
After chasing a $600 payment from a client in Austin for 8 months through the court system and only getting a judgment I can't collect on, has anyone else found it's better to just move on and focus on vetting better clients?

My buddy Lou spent 6 months fighting a $500 deposit from a landlord who ghosted him. By the time he won in court, he figured he'd spent about 40 hours on paperwork and trips downtown. He always jokes that he basically paid himself minimum wage to get his money back.
