Vent: The client who paid but then charged back 3 months later
Had a landscaping job for a guy in Bakersfield, he paid upfront via card, everything was fine. Then 90 days later he filed a chargeback claiming he never got the work done. Took me 2 hours and a grainy photo of his property to win the dispute. Anyone dealt with this and found a way to stop it from happening again?

Took me 2 hours and a grainy photo" is insane. That's all it took to save you? I'd be losing my mind if someone pulled that on me after three months.

90 days is way past the typical window, I'd look into adding a time-stamped GPS photo or a signed waiver on delivery for any card payments over a certain amount.

Blame the system as much as the scammers. Banks make it way too easy to dispute charges months later with almost no proof needed. It's like they trust customers more than actual business owners who do honest work.
