How I stopped a revision cycle that lasted 2 weeks on a simple brochure
I was at my desk in Denver last March, staring at the 9th round of changes for a 3-page brochure that should have taken 3 days. I finally just sent a message saying I was capping it at 5 revisions total and sticking to the original scope. Has anyone else had to draw a hard line mid-project like that?

Cap it at 5 revisions" - I get the frustration but you kinda shot yourself in the foot there by not defining what counts as a revision with the client first.
One time I had a client who would send changes in separate emails. One fix in the morning, another at lunch, one more at 4pm. They thought that was one revision because it was just "minor tweaks." Learned real fast to say "each email thread counts as a separate revision round" in writing before we start.
You might want to go back and clarify what a "revision" actually means with them, otherwise they'll just split their 5 requests into 5 different emails and call it one round.

5 separate emails is just 5 revisions with an imaginary friend timeline.
