That "quick logo tweak" that ate up 4 hours of my Tuesday
I had a client ask for a minor color change on a logo last week. Said it would take 5 minutes tops. Three hours later I was still moving elements around because they kept adding requests like "make the font bolder" and "can you try a different layout." I should have set a hard limit of 2 rounds of changes from the start. How do you guys handle the people who turn a simple fix into a full redesign without paying extra?

Honestly I read somewhere that charging for each round of changes upfront stops this from happening.

Take it from someone who dealt with this exact thing, @barbaradavis is onto something for sure. Charging per round makes clients think hard before asking for another tiny tweak. It stops the endless back and forth cold.
