Spent 8 months trying to automate invoicing and finally gave up, handwritten is faster for me.

After 3 different apps and a $200 course on QuickBooks, I went back to paper invoices because my brain just works better with pen and paper for tracking payments, anyone else find that simple beats fancy every time?

Used to think I was too smart for paper invoicing. Tried it for a month last year and realized I wasn't.

Lost three invoices in the first week myself because I tossed them in the same pile as old receipts. Ended up finding one of them stuck to a coffee cup ring on my desk a month later. A client paid me $400 late because I forgot to even send the thing. Sometimes the simple way is the way that actually gets done.

Too smart for paper invoicing" sums up my friend Mike perfectly. He tried going digital-only and ended up missing payments for two months because his email went to spam on a client's end. Switched back to paper and a simple folder system, and now he sleeps way better at night.
